Android Nougat Official Release.
Hello guys I'm Vaibhav Pawar And today I'm back with another latest news from the tech world! Recently Google released Android N officially as an OTA update. Yes after 5 months of developer releases the Final version of Android N is available to download. So let's take a quick look on Android N's features.
Features Of Android N =>
1] SPLIT SCREEN.
So ANDROID N is coming with a bunch of new features over ANDROID Marshmallow. One of which is NATIVE SPLIT SCREEN support, you can call it multi -window . This is not something new we have seen this way before in CUSTOM ROMS or from famous SAMSUNG'S devices such as NOTE series. But what do make it new is that its now on stock android and is optimized for larger display that today's phones and tablets have. The apps can now run side by side which is great for someone having a conversation with someone as he can quickly search for a place without leaving the conversation.
2] NEW SETTINGS APP.
Android N also features a New Settings app. Its fully Unique. It is imporved with a new side-swipe menu And Look is To Different. That let's you go navigate directly through the main setting rather then going all the way back.
One of the best changes though is that you can now see basic details of each section in the main Settings menu. So, for example, rather than have to enter the Wi-Fi menu to see which network you’re connected to, Android N displays that information in the top-level settings menu.
3] NEW NOTIFICATION PANEL.
In ANDROID N every thing has tweaked to its best an there is no exception in the notification panel. So when You’ll open the drop down menu you'll see a thin strip of toggles at the top of the notifications shade for frequently used things like Wi-Fi, Do Not Disturb, battery and the flashlight.
Some of these can be toggled on and off directly, while others will take you to a sub-menu (long-pressing the flashlight will launch the camera thus Unique Feature is Added into It)
Double tapping the top will bring quick setting toggles which can be directly customized though the panel and you can put 3 cards of quick settings or things that you use frequently.
Android N's notifications area is now flatter than ever, with just a thin line separating individual notifications although when you swipe down the Quick Settings, the cards will stack as before. Profile pics from your contacts now appear on the right rather than the left and app icons have been minimized.
4] NEW RECENT APP INTERFACE.
The recent apps menu in Android N has also been improved, with larger cards in the recent apps stack and new functionality. Tapping the square button will bring up a cascade of your most recently used apps. But if you double tap the square button instead you’ll quickly switch between your current app and the one you used last.
Another cool feature in ANDROID N is that when you’re in the recent apps list, tapping the recent apps button again will cycle you through your most recently used apps one by one. This can be greatly useful for someone copy/pasting text between apps. And also New (Long-pressing the recent apps button will launch multi-window mode.)
5] NEW DATA SAVING FEATURE.
This feature is for all the data users out there! ANDROID N gives you more control on DATA USAGE then ever before! Just go to settings and enable it.
Once it's enabled it will not only stop background apps from syncing but also let's the user set the amount of data per app individually.
This could save bunch of data that could have been lost or used by apps. The new DATA SAVER stops whenever you will connect your device to WI-FI or just simply turn of data service.
6] NEW NIGHT MODE.
As you've already know this setting or MODE was first debuted in ANDROID M developer preview. But was removed in the FINAL UPDATE maybe because it wasn't fully developed at that time.
But with ANDROID N It has returned and this time more improved then before. offering a dark system-wide theme, but also adding some cool new features too, like tint control to limit the amount of blue light in your display which is a great addition if you use you're phone late at night.
Night Mode can be enabled automatically at certain times of day and there’s an automatic brightness limiting option as well.
7] IMPROVED NUMBER BLOCKING AND CALL SCREENING.
Android N attempts to improve on the multiple different methods manufacturers have come up with over the years to block certain numbers or screen calls by baking a standard into the latest version of Android.
Like fingerprint support and multi-window mode, this means that these rather essential processes should become more consistent across devices and manufacturers because they are a stock feature of Android rather than a later addition.
THE VERDICT.
ANDROID has came along way... From humble beginning to HUGE success and ANDROID N is no exception it tells us how far we have come.
ANDROID N gives a lot of new features and minor tweaking's to give the user the best they can get.
ANDROID N for me is looking like a right step at the right time. Featuring some security upgrades and some time saving short cuts along with multi-window and better apps optimizations. This can't get better then this!
